My name's Gina, I'm a Pilates and Yoga teacher from the UK who currently calls New Zealand home. My online studio focuses on positive movement, to help bring feelings of autonomy and comfort with yourself and your body.
Now, that might seem a little grand from just rolling around on a mat but I believe by regulargly giving yourself this time and space, we can help connect to what we need each day. We can create a space where you feel more confident and comfortable in your movements, your mind and your body.
I have always loved taking classes at home, I enjoy the flexibility of being able to fit movement in with the rest of my day. To take the options that suit me each day, which may including skipping exercises in favour of a lie down... And the ultimate luxury, rolling out of bed and onto my mat, to start the day feeling like I’ve done something for myself, mentally and physically.
I became a teacher as I believe we can all find joy in movement and I want to help you find yours. Through Pilates, we work to support the body by moving all joints through your fullest range, keeping you mobile, strong and feeling good. We check in with your breath to give you a greater understanding of what the body is holding onto and we focus on how the movement feels rather than how it looks. Collectively this will have you feeling challenged, supported and a little lighter, in mind and body.
I undertook my 200YTT in 2019 with East & West Yoga and completed my Cert IV in Matwork and Reformer Pilates with Breathe Education in 2021. I have done additional trainings in Anatomy with Celest Pereira and Breathe Education. I have a curiosity to keep learning and expanding my knowledge to keep classes fresh and focused.
I currently teach yoga, reformer and mat Pilates at Alma in Hawkes Bay, NZ.
